My boss's boss (whom we'll call the Head Honcho) met with me today to tell me that my boss told her about Bleh's repeated unprofessional behavior. Head Honcho wanted to know my side of the story, so I told her about the multiple unceasing personal calls a day, the kids being in the office every day, and the other annoyances. Honcho told me she had spoken to Bleh about the kids in the office last summer. Yep, Bleh was told ONE YEAR AGO that it wasn't cool to be running a daycare at her desk.
Honcho said she hadn't heard about the ridiculous number of phone calls and she was glad I told her, since she's on a separate floor and would have had no way of knowing about that aspect of Bleh's behavior.
So what's next? I'm not sure. Honcho held a meeting to discuss Bleh with my boss after my meeting. Honcho is confused as to why, if Bleh's been told to stop certain behaviors on more than one occasion, Bleh is still doing those behaviors. Um, me too!
Ironic note: when I returned from my meeting with Honcho, Bleh was (you guessed it!) on a personal call. A long one. Bleh mentioned to her friend she was depressed and I could have sworn she said she was thinking of looking for another job(!). Whah?
Until next time...

Hmmm...I guess she's looking for another job to get fired from? I doubt many businesses would support her behavior.
I think the only reason she's lasted this long is because the boss is too nice.
Did you tell Head Honcho that you have a blog's worth of documented evidence of Bleh's unprofessional behavior?
Nope, i didn't think it necessary. Bleh's obvious ignorance of office protocol was more than enough.
Besides this blog would probably get me fired. And I have many mouths to feed.
not to be Debbie Downer, but... my Bleh has been looking for a new job (yes, on company time) for over a year. Who will hire her? I doubt she can pull it together long enough to get through an interview and deep down she knows she won't get fired because my supervisor would feel sorry for her.... gag!
